If you haven’t heard about ConK, well check out my new Micro-Site. There are some videos on YouTube and some screenshots. But what’s ConK?
ConK is a minimalistic Space Real-Time-Strategy (RTS) game, inspired by Qonk and Galcon. Currently, you can play it in your Browser (Java 5 required). It’s easy for testing / updating and distribution during alpha- and beta-phase.
There is a lot of work to do
At the moment you can play versus a computer AI ( Hint: Don’t wait too long, expand quickly ). I’ll update my progress here.
Just a little update after a while. We launched a new website for JQuiz aka QuiBuzz (sorry, german only). If you’ve a question, just add a comment below. The software is fully customizable via XML.

By the way, i just bought the book “Microsoft XNA Game Studio 3.0 Unleashed“. It has nothing to do with Java. XNA is a Game-Framework für Windows PC and XBox 360 written for .NET (C#). But there are some nice examples you can learn from.
Happy coding @ll
Yeah, i got finished my first real game in Java. It’s nothing spectecular but i got it. A small quiz / puzzle game. You must guess a picture in the background, it’s hidden behind puzzle pieces. Every second a puzzle-piece is removed and you see more of the picture. I’ll post some screenshots later with a little more details inside.
For me it’s very difficult to know all, or at least some, blend-modes. I found a posting on JGO and a link to Pulpcore. Pulpcore is another 2D API for Java-Game-Devolopment. As far as i know, it uses only Java internal stuff to do the rendering. Anyway, there is an article about Alpha-Compositing aka Blend-Modes, very useful information.
So, after updating to WordPress 2.7 and destroying my old Theme i got the new Theme installed. I have searched hours and hours to find a good and clean Theme for my blog… Sometimes it can be really frustrating. But here we go
Expect some updates in the next days / weeks. I got around with my game dev stuff again. I’d to much work to do and some deadlines to hold. It’s a hard business, but it’s fun! Cause: Code 4 Life yeah…
Just found a cool site about math called algebralab.org. You can find all kind of definitions there like Cross-Product, Dot-Product or simple angle calculations.
